Vertical Detachable Swan Neck Towbar (TowTrust)

The TowTrust Vertical Detachable Swan Neck Towbar is a type of towbar designed for towing trailers, caravans, or other towed equipment. It incorporates a fold away electrical plate. Enabling the towbar electrics to fold behind the bumper when not in use.

The majority of Tow Trust’s detachable swan neck towbars are ‘vertical’ (VK) systems. Once you remove the detachable neck, they become fully hidden behind the bumper. Key features of the vertical detachable system are:

• • Suitable for vehicles with reversing sensors
  • In most instances this system is completely invisible once the neck is removed and therefore preserves the aesthetic appearance of the vehicle
  • Alko compatible
  • Allows free access to the rear of the vehicle
  • Lockable with a set of two keys which are provided
  • Once you remove the neck, a storage bag is provided for safe keeping

It is our aim to manufacture all detachables in the VK format due to their neat appearance when the neck is not attached. Unfortunately, some vehicles’ design does not allow for the design and fitting of a VK. This is usually due to insufficient space behind the bumper for the housing of the neck and the socket plate to be located. In this rare instance we still try to offer a detachable option by designing a ‘horizontal’ (HK) system.

Whilst not being completely invisible this still offers a removable, lockable neck solution that enables customers all the benefits of a detachable system apart from it not being invisible.
