Hook Locks

L4V Hook Locks are premium mechanical deadlocks that operate completely independently of the manufacturer’s built-in locking system.

Featuring a robust, deadlocking hook bolt that securely engages into an opposing body section, this lock offers enhanced protection. It is operated via a high-security external key fully controlled by you, the driver. Ideally suited for owners or scenarios where manual control is preferred, it’s recommended for installation on both side and rear doors to maximise security.

T-Series or S-Series – What’s the difference?

T-Series: If you need a replacement or extra key, this key can be cut ONLY via Locks 4 Vans.

S-Series: If you need a replacement or extra key, this key can be cut from any company who can cut commercial keys.

Designed and manufactured exclusively by Locks4Vans, the Hook Lock meets the rigorous demands of commercial vehicle security. Its compact lock case allows for multiple fitting positions.

The installation process requires 60% less removal of structural metal compared to other locks, preserving the vans structural integrity while enhancing defensive strength.

Each lock is vehicle specific and includes all necessary fixings, fittings and detailed instructions to ensure a professional installation.

The Hook Locks use cylinders, housing, and plugs finished in highly durable satin nickel, ensuring a long-lasting appearance and reliable performance.

You receive 3 keys for one lock. If you need more than one lock, you can key all 3 keys alike to open multiple locks on your van. You can cut additional keys depending on whether you require the T or S Series.

Tailgate kits include 2 locks, all other variations are for 1 lock.

The Hook Lock is compatible with electric and hybrid vehicle variants, making it a versatile choice across modern vehicle types.

What is a ‘Lock in a Box’?

This new option has been specifically designed for high fitting positions where the door panel is too thin to accommodate a conventional Hook Lock assembly, giving van owners greater flexibility when upgrading their vehicle security.

The ‘Lock in a Box’ attaches neatly to the inside edge of the door, making it suitable for both side and rear loading doors. By positioning the lock within the load area, it remains sheltered from elements not only increases security but also reduces the need for ongoing maintenance.

Another key benefit of this fitting position is that it requires no cutting into the van’s external door skin. This makes the installation simpler, less invasive, and helps to preserve the vehicle’s appearance while still providing robust protection.

Please note: Using WD40 or similar on these locks will void the warranty. This is because that type of product is a cleaner and not a lubricant. We recommend the Locks4Vans PTFE Lubricant instead.
