Park Safe CAN Bus Interface
A Park Safe CAN Bus Interface is a simple signal output device for activating or deactivating other electronic automotive devices.
The Controller Area Network serves as a multiplexed wiring solution connecting intelligent devices like Electronic Control Units (ECUs) in vehicles, facilitating reliable and economical data transmission. Originating from Bosch in 1980, CAN simplifies vehicle communication. Presently, most vehicles adopt this system, posing challenges for installing aftermarket products sans a CAN Bus interface.
A CAN Bus interface functions as straightforward signal output mechanism for activating or deactivating electronic automotive components. It generates a regulated 12-volt output signal, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of automotive accessories that require a consistent power supply for operation.
The PSPK1 is designed to deactivate certain functions or accessories when the vehicle reaches a predetermined speed, typically around 6mph. This feature helps ensure safety and prevents distractions by disabling non-essential systems while driving.
Its design facilitates straightforward installation, typically demanding minimal wiring and integration into the vehicle’s existing CAN Bus network.
