Steelmate Rear Parking Sensors With Buzzer are popular aftermarket parking assist sensors designed to help drivers while parking their vehicles.

The sensor hole size is 18.8mm in diameter. The visible external diameter of the sensor head is 22.9mm with a depth of 20.1mm and they have detachable cables and a 4° and 10° angle of tilt in the box.

Purpose

The main purpose of the sensors with a buzzer is to assist drivers in safely detect obstacles behind the vehicle and provide audible alerts to the driver.

Buzzer Alerts

When an obstacle detaches, the parking sensor system activates a buzzer located inside the vehicle’s cabin. The buzzer emits audible beeping sounds that increase in frequency as the vehicle get closer to the obstacle. This audio feedback helps the driver gauge the distance to the obstacle.
