What is Speedliner?

What is Speedliner?

First established in 2000, Speedliner Europe has built themselves an amazing reputation which makes them one of the best (and first) suppliers of versatile spray-on liners throughout the UK and most of Europe. We are proud to be an Authorised Dealer Application Centre for the extremely versatile and effective Speedliner products.

What Speedliner products are available?

Speedliner is available in a variety of different forms to cater to the needs of everyone. Here are some of the spray-on liners we apply:

1)

Speedliner Euro HS® is a high-performance polyurethane/urea elastomeric product specifically designed for high build applications. It also possesses other properties such as high tensile strength, good elongation and adhesion. As an aliphatic-hybrid urethane-urea, Speedliner Euro HS® has significantly better UV stability, hydrolytic stability and resistance to many chemicals than aromatic urethanes commonly known as ‘fast dry-fast cure’ spray liners.
When fully cured, Speedliner Euro HS® forms an extremely tough, abrasive resistant polymer coating especially well suited for applications requiring protection from impact, abrasion or corrosion on metal, wood or fibreglass (GRP) surfaces. Speedliner Euro HS®texture surfaces provide an excellent grip surface in a dry environment and with aggregate additives such as aluminium oxide grit or rubber crumb gives good anti-slip properties on a variety of surfaces in a wet environment.

2)

Speedliner Euro HC® is a high-performance polyurethane/urea elastomeric product exhibiting the same overall strength and qualities as the Speedliner Euro HS® but with the advantage of an exclusive active anti-bacterial, anti-microbial additive pre-measured and installed into the component B activator of the Speedliner Euro HC® product.

With the inclusion of Ultra-Fresh™ antimicrobial additive into Speedliner Euro HC® polymer spray liner the final application provides active antibacterial, antimicrobial and antifungal protection. It also resists deterioration, discolouration and degradation, odours and spoilage that could occur through the action of bacterial and fungal organisms.
Most importantly Ultra-Fresh™ is effective in the fight against bacteria such as MRSA and E-coli and creates a hostile environment for such organisms which cannot survive on the spray liner surface.

Speedliner Euro HC® can be coated over existing fibreglass interiors to enable serviceable repairs to previously coated surfaces and ease of cleaning of the final surface application.
3)
Speedliner Euro FR is a general all-purpose Fire / Flame Retardant polymer spray liner coating.
More information coming soon.
4)
opcoat HG™ is an aliphatic, two component polyurethane polymer coating product and is available in original form as a clear coating and can be self coloured as required at time of use. The product is formulated to give a full chemical reactive cure with no reliance or affects from ambient air moisture.
This speciality coating is formulated for interior and exterior applications and has excellent gloss and colour retention.
When coated over the Speedliner Euro HS® spray liner Topcoat HG™ further increases the chemical resistance and especially the long-term UV colour stability of white and other very light colours when Topcoat HG™ is applied as the finished coating.
Resistance of the coated areas to wear, weathering and corrosion are rated comparable with some high quality commercially available and industrial coating types.
At the 2016 CV show in Birmingham later this month, Speedliner will be introducing some new products so watch this space!

How long does application take?

Application varies depending on how big your vehicle is, what level of application you require and so on.
As the process is fairly long – to ensure your vehicle is 100% secured and waterproof – we advise that a vehicle can take up to 5 days, but it usually only takes 3 days.
You can choose to have the Speedliner applied to a certain level, for example up to the wheel boxes to produce a “water tray” (see image), and this will take less time.

Above: Speedliner applied up to the wheel boxes to form a “water tray”.

What processes are involved?

There are many questions you need to ask yourself before we can apply the Speedliner. For example, do you want shelves added? What colour(s) do you want the Speedliner to be? Do you want a full lining or a half height lining? Those who are unsure can call our expert sales team on 0117 3790 279.

Once you know the work you require, you will need to bring your van to our Bristol Installation Centre.

The first stage of the application process involves ply lining your vehicle and sealing it to ensure it is 100% waterproof. Next we will apply a first layer of Speedliner which will seal the lining. Finally we will spray on the Speedliner in a colour (or colours) of your choice. We can add shelves or extras at your request.

Step 1 and 2: The vehicle is ply lined and sealed.
Step 3: The vehicle has been sealed and the first lot of Speedliner HC was applied.
Step 4: The final coat of Speedliner is applied and left to dry. This customer chose Dark Grey and White but there are dozens of colours available.

How do I enquire?

It is easy to enquire, simply call us on 0117 3790 279 or email sales@vehicle-accessories.net. Once the work you require is decided, we will send you a quote and availability in our workshop. If you are happy with the date(s) selected you will need to pay a small deposit and bring your vehicle to our Bristol Installation Centre for the work to take place.
