Ply Lining
Ply Lining refers to the process of installing plywood panels on the interior walls, roof, and floor of a van. This lining serves several purposes, including protection, insulation, and providing a durable surface for securing cargo or installing van conversions.
Please note that our kits are collection only from our Bristol Installation Centre, but we do offer an installation service for all kits. This costs £55 + VAT for fitting which will also be at our Bristol Installation Centre or within the Bristol area.
This type of van lining adds a layer of protection to the van’s interior, preventing damage from shifting cargo, tools, or equipment. It helps to minimise scratches, dents, and general wear and tear that may occur during transportation.
Plywood is a sturdy and durable material, making it suitable for withstanding the demands of regular use in a van. It can withstand impacts and resist moisture, ensuring long-lasting protection for the van’s interior.
It can provide some level of insulation, reducing heat transfer between the van’s metal body and the interior space. This insulation can help maintain a more comfortable temperature inside the van and improve energy efficiency.
Ply lining is relatively easy to maintain. Regular cleaning with a mild detergent and water should keep the panels clean and free from dirt or debris. It’s important to address any signs of moisture or damage promptly to prevent potential issues such as rot or mold.
Each side, top and door panels are made from 5.5mm plywood and our flooring panels are made from 9mm plywood.
If your vehicle requires wheel arch boxes, these can be included and will be 9mm plywood.
