Steelmate Visual Display
Steelmate parking sensors work in conjunction with the accessory, the Steelmate Visual Display. It provides a visual representation of the distance between you vehicle and obstacles when parking, making it easier to navigate tight spaces and avoid potential collisions.
Parking Sensor Installation: The first step is to have the Steelmate parking sensors installed on your vehicle. These sensors typically mount on the front and/or rear bumper, utilising ultrasonic technology to detect nearby obstacles.
Sensor Communication:The parking sensors connect to a central control unit, which processes the sensor data and determines the distance between your vehicle and any detected obstacles.
Visual Display Unit: The display is a separate unit that receives information from the central control unit. It is usually mounted on or near the dashboard, within the drivers line of sight.
Distance Indication: When you engage the vehicle in reverse (or sometimes when you approach an obstacle in the front), the parking sensors start detecting nearby objects. The display unit then receives this information and displays the distance to obstacles on the screen.
Visual Feedback: The display typically uses coloured bars or numerical values to indicate the distance. As you get closer to an obstacle, the bars or numbers change colour or reduce in length, providing you with real time feedback about your proximity to the obstacle.
The Steelmate Visual Display for parking sensors can be a valuable addition to your vehicle, especially in tight spaces or when navigating in crowded areas. It helps you park more confidently and reduces the chances of accidental collisions with obstacles or other vehicles.
